tough love часто означает что чедовек сделал что-то жестоко рады улучшения другого или рады того-то учить кому-то что-то

ie. he left her even though he loves her so that she could be with the person she loves.
parents will make themselves your 'enemies' in childhood in order to teach you the right way to live in the end (even if you only realize it when they are already dead)
