Сегодня в мировой деловой практике документарные аккредитивы и банковские гарантии чаще всего используются как инструменты финансирования международных торговых операций. Такое финансирование происходит в форме открытия банком аккредитива или предоставления банковской гарантии без размещения клиентом денежного покрытия, имея в активе его обязательство сделать это в момент выполнения платежа по соответствующему инструменту.
