Start-up bypass/ inhibits will be applied by activating the shutdown unit start-up bypass/ inhibit permissive key-switch located on the ESD matrix then the bypass/ inhibit can be set from the SCS Operator workstation.
Start-up bypass/ inhibits will be removed automatically after a pre-determined time period or when the input becomes healthy. Removal of the start-up bypass/ inhibit permissive key-switch will remove all the bypass/ inhibits from that shutdown unit. Attempted operation of the bypass with the process in the normal or healthy state will have no effect.
