An engineer is someone who practices the engineering profession; a professional practitioner of engineering; someone who uses scientific knowledge to solve practical problems and produce goods for society. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engineer In most departments, the engineer is the person that drives the Fire Engine or Ladder Truck. They can be known by several names. "Driver" "Fire Equipment Operator" (FEO). "Chauffeur" and others. The engineer is also responsible for all of the equipment that is on the apparatus and making sure that it is clean and in good working condition. They also run the pumps, etc. when they are at a fire. If they are the driver of a truck, they are responsible for running the aerial device (ladder etc. ... A person who uses scientific knowledge to solve practical problems. For ALMA an engineer's principle assignment will be to build and maintain the hardware. person skilled in a branch of engineering, ie mining or construction a person who uses science and math to design, build or operate equipment, structures and systems (A person who receives a college degree in engineering might be an electrical, mechanical, industrial, chemical, environmental, biochemical or aeronautical engineer.) (US): driver, engine driver, train driver (UK) Someone who applies a knowledge of math and natural science to practical ends, such as the design, construction and operation of structures. person who designs, constructs and maintains works of public utility such as roads and bridges or District Engineer - A person designated or employed by the board of directors of a district to perform any or all of the engineering work authorized to be done by the district under this article. The member of the crew designated and qualified to operate a train over the territory to be traversed. Any registered engineer who designs all or a part of the Building Structural System and/or who produces all or a part of the Building Structural System Design Documents. Responsible for the proper operation of all equipment on location and/or in editing. The Engineer maintains and repairs equipment, and configures it so that all operating items are integrated. This includes testing equipment to insure its integrity and trouble- shooting equipment during production and editing. May also be known as a Video Engineer or General Operator (not a Character General Operator which is found under Font Operator). Duly authorized agent of the Department acting within the scope of its authority for purposes of engineering and administration of the Contract. The crew member responsible for the physical operation of a freight or passenger train and for monitoring the locomotive's running condition. A person who plans and creates mechanic structures for a variety of uses. An individual who combines knowledge of science, mathematics, and economics to solve technical problems that confront society. An engineer, as a profession, is a person dedicated to the knowings and workings of mechanical, structural or dimensional expertise. Educated in the ways of bringing about a union between different energies or materials that ultimately, combine to create something new, an engineer may be an attempt to increase your awareness of different levels in life and, in how one makes them work in unity. Be a professional in cost effective engineering Responsible for maintenance of the boat's mechanical, motors, water system, compressors, & monitoring systems. |
