На экзамене по коммерческой корреспонденции я перевёл вышеуказнную фразу так:
"This resolution shall become valid after it has been countersigned by the Investor".
Мне засчитали ошибку, так как, якобы, надо было написать: "...after it is countersigned..."
Скажите, пожалуйста, кто прав - я или экзаменатор.

А разве "...has been..." неправильно?
Вот другой пример: "Having completed this task I will be free to go". Здесь же "перфектное" время смотрится нормально. А случай - совершенно аналогичный.

Там есть заголовки разделов, в том числе: Validity. Поэтому я употребил слово "valid" чтобы не ломать терминологию.

А вот смотрите выше - из солидного словаря: "VALID - An act..., which has received all the formalities..."
Отсюда следует: "Having received all the formalities the act shall become valid".
И далее в той же логике: "The act shall become valid after it has received all the formalities" или " After all the formalities have been completed, the act shall become valid".
Разве не так?

Думаю, экзаменатор прав.

Перфект указывает на то, что между 1-м действием и 2-м проходит достаточно большой промежуток времени (Как в тексте про подписание законопроекта Президентом).

У Вольмедмара же другая ситуация: договор подписан и вступает в силу по подписании, сразу же - перфект не нужен.

Можно было бы попробовать "отбить" ошибку дав свой контекст... :-)

I will show the clipping of this article to the teacher. If "has been signed" is okay for President Putin, then I hope "the Investor" should have no objections either... )))

In fact this mistake (or not mistake) did not influence the results of my exam. But it is a matter of principle.

The teacher is a nice young girl although too serious at times. I will tickle her with this remark and hope she will smile.
