During THE search. Imho, to start the fire -- это " поджечь, зажечь" Вам скорее подходит to open the fire - открыть стрельбу. Не хотите попробовать: According to eyewitnesses' reports,some shots rang during the search in the house. Apparently,it was a targeted rather than random shooting/fire. |
| According to available information, the persons who arrived did not produce their identity cards to confirm that they were members of an (official structure?). As explained by the eyewitnesses, some shots were heard in the house during the search. It seems as if fire for effect had been delivered (IMHO). |
