Вот контекст :-) Это про тестирование цветостойкости красок с использование шкалы Blue wool Traditionally at ***, the blue wool standards have mainly been used to calibrate weathering machinery and check that they are maintaining a consistent output of UV. Occasionally though, they have been required to evaluate the durability of ‘Point of Purchase’ display work and inks designed for shop bought products or internal use. Because of the low blue wool rated pigments used, a normal weathering exposure cycle will be useless, as the continual bombardment of Xenon weathering will cause failure quickly. This type of exposure has increased considerably during the last few years, with the Digital Research department now concentrating on various ink ranges that will be required for this use. The industrial and packaging department are also formulating shop display and ‘household consumables’ inks, with flexo printed products designed for use in this market. At *** Weathering Services, we are equipped with a QUV fadeometer, which has been set up using Uva351 lamps designed to expose ‘Sunshine behind glass’ weathering to the samples. Humidity and water spray cycles normally associated with accelerated weathering have also been removed from the system, so that a shop window type environment can be replicated more accurately.
