Subject: stewards
Hello!

I am currently struggling with translating one word into Russian. It is “steward”.

Context: Stewards are challenged to give according to their means and to set a goal of giving 10 percent of their income when possible. Some disciples, because of their life circumstances, can give much more.

On a separate note, I would like to clarify that in this church the concept of stewardship and being a steward means the following:

As stewards, we are called to take care of the gifts of God and to try to embellish them. We also, as a result of God's gifts, desire to give back to God. This is the concept of Tithing, Offering, etc... In our denomination, we make the distinction that in Stewardship we give of our Time, our Talent, and our Treasure. So, our entire lives are really a stewardship to be cared for and given in service to God and to others.

Thank you in advance!
