- The highway connection of the temperature multiplexer (MTL831B) will be done redundant with normal instrument cable. These two cables may follow the same route. Whether the multidrop function (2MTL831B connected to each other) will be used is dependent on the ISV (integrated system vendor).

1) The highway connection?
2) The multidrop function?

Please help.

1) The highway connection is the serial connection between temperature multiplexer and DCS
2) Multi drop function means that you can connect several multiplexers by serial connection.
