Особенно, что имеется в виду после as distinct from. Work occupational hazards do of course shorten life, but mainly because the injuries and acquired defects shorten useful economic life - and only a minority of people believe in fully pensioning off a 'finished' hunter or chaser as distinct from using it as a nanny/companion.
