Creating the database solution
The Contractor installs the system components. Installation comprises:
• Installation and configuration of the database software on the servers; The Contractor reserves the right to bill separately for these services.
• Design of the system configuration and resource distribution as regards disk partitioning, system parameters on the operating system etc.;
• Structure of the database system (database parameters, Oracle Data DictionaryTM , database areas (e.g. table spaces));
• Creating the server-side SQL*NetTM communication interface to the application which is dependent on the databases;
• Incorporating the database solution into the central Oracle Names ServiceTM of the Contractor;
• Initial creation of the OracleTM user identifications (passwords, rights) in accordance with customer specifications;
• Embedding of the database solution into the Command & Control Center with creation of the monitoring, reporting and ticketing system.
• Including the database solution in the data backup and recovery concept
• Incorporating the database solution into the server-specific start/stop routines.
