Вот полный контекст:
A steel roll machined with high precision (micron) is often imported from specialists. After correction,
ceramic layer is applied using home made technology. The powder is selected with specific
characteristic (size, shape…).
The plasma technology is used. An electric arc is created between a cathode and anode. Plasma
gases such as Argon, Nitrogen, Hydrogen or Helium are either injected through the arc where they
are ionized and expand. Ceramic powder is injected downstream of the ionized gases (plasma)
where they melt and gain kinetic energy. Then, the thermal plasma spray strike the roll at very high
temperature. One pass all around the roll create a layer of 2 µm thicker. Several passes are needed
to get the final thickness between 160 and 180 µm.
