the Ukraine is perfectly fine. the rule has not changed yet, officially, but many have just started saying Ukraine.
but this was not even a question presented here. my "what? huh? heeeeeehhhhhhhh?" was becasue your "All-of-an-Ukraine" makes no sense and looks like garble

What is the real garble is переклады saying 'the Russia' and still pretending to be russian natives. I shall torment them whenever possible (or impossible). Each and every перекладер will be punished, prosecuted, persecuted, executed and then told not to try any translating..

So.. That 'All-of-an-Ukraine' was not an advice to the asker..
It's simply a manifestation of my everburning hatred.

I know.
I am not advising the asker here, and I am not demonstrating my English skills, which are abysmal.
I just want to say that as long as they pay too much attention to how their name does sound in English, and not to their real problems, they will be living in AN Ukraine, in SOME Ukraine and SORTA Ukraine.

As for переклады.. I will take any and every opportunity to humiliate them, to disparage them, to defile them, to defame them, to scorn them, to flout at them and to do other funny things with them..

This is what they teach at schools in this country.
olives, tomatoes, etc. are indefinite because nothing else is known about them, just these names. Therefore, they have indefinite articles (which are zero because of plural).
pepper in this case is DEFINITE - not any pepper but definitely Bulgarian. This is why it has a definite article.

Perfect logic, in a way.

if you are interested, one more example with articles and how they are taught wrong. A student who tries to speak English for practice and wants me to check him, says at dinner, "can I take a plate?" pointing to a single plate on the table at the moment. I ask him: "Why don't you say 'the plate' when there is only one here?" He says, "They explained to us that indefinite article basically means 'one', and it is to use when speaking about a single object."

Во времена существования государства СССР (кстати, по-английски the USSR либо the Soviet Union) при употреблении в речи названия одной из республик - Украины - англичане использовали артикль the (то есть правильным вариантом считался the Ukraine).
С обретением республикой независимости артикль перед этим именем собственным НЕ УПОТРЕБЛЯЕТСЯ

Non-governmental Organisation (NGO)- это "неурядова або позавладна організація"(неправительственная. Non-governmental может быть либое ООО, а вот общественная это скорее "public".
