Eyeball Diverter

Здравствуйте, уважаемые форумчане. Я перевожу мануал к очистителю (пылесосу) для бассейнов. У меня возникли сложности с переводом термина " Eyeball Diverter", по немецки Kugelventil. Ничего лучше "шарикового клапана" мне в голову не приходит. Помогите, пожалуйста!

To install the eyeball diverter

6 Lock (Retaining) Ring

1) First make sure your pool pump is switched off. Remove the original eyeball from the pool's return line by unscrewing the lock ring.

2) Replace the original eyeball with the cleaner's eyeball diverter.

3) Replace the lock ring and tighten. Make sure the opening of the eyeball diverter points in the proper direction before tightening fully. See "Eyeball Diverter positions" below. Position the diverter opening to redirect the water flow from the return line so it does not interfere with the cleaner's movement. Try different positions to see which works best in your pool: • Flow directed along the side of pool (the tile line). • Flow directed downward. • Flow directed against the hose will help steer the cleaner away from obstructions such as stairs and ladders. Because of the individual characteristics of your pool, some additional adjustment may be required to get the best performance from your cleaner.

"шариковый клапан" вряд ли пойдет, не отражает " diverter"

По сабжу

ИМХО тут существенным моментом являются не столько детали устройства (пружинный, дисковый и т.п.), сколько его назначение -- отклонять струю в заданном направлении

сорри, не увидела ссылку wise crocodile, из которой следует, что техн. переводчики опять пошли путем наименьшего сопротивления и назвали штучку просто шаровым дивертором

Не отводной. Он не предназначен для отвода. Скорее отклоняющий
