| I would avoid 'carcass' here because, as well as occasionally being used with buildings, it's mainly used to refer to the remains (dead bodies) of humans/animals (eg, 'a sheep's carcass'). 'shell' and 'frame' are not used in this way but are commonly used with buildings & other structures. |
