Superior SL smoke fluid

Подскажите, пожалуйста, что это за жидкость такая компании Superior. Используется для Sewer Smoke testing. Расскажите, пожалуйста, про процесс. Я никак не могу понять, как это работает.

Dangerous gases (such as methane) can build up in sewers. If the gas builds up too much, and there's a leak (eg via a fracture in the sewer pipe), the gases can escape through the fracture either to the surface, or into nearby buildings. Some of these escaping gases just have an unpleasant smell, but others can harm/kill people. In extreme cases, if the gas is flammable and comes into contact with a flame (for example, inside a building), it can cause the building and/or sewer to explode.

To check a sewer for leaks/fractures, a special, non-toxic fluid (smoke fluid) and/or a smoke bomb is used in conjunction with a smoke blower machine (a fan/pump). Smoke is forced into the sewer -- typically down a manhole. The smoke then builds up inside the sewer and travels along the sewer pipe. The sewer engineers then look around for signs of smoke escaping through nearby road surfaces or gardens, or from inside nearby buildings. This tells the sewer engineers roughly where any leaks/fractures in the sewer pipe(s) are.
