перевод субтитров к фильму

Здравствуйте, есть вопросы по поводу артикля при переводе субтитров к фильму. Например, в кадре в первый раз  появляется женщина, необходимо перевести: 

Девушка: - Хорошо, я поняла. 

Какой артикль необходимо употребить со словом девушка, или его правильнее будет опустить.

Или ,например, впервые слышится крик петуха и появляется строка: [крик петуха] Какой артикль нужно поставить? Заранее спасибо за помощь!

"крик петуха" - в случае использования в субтитрах артикль не обязателен, используйте формулу "петух крик-ing" (подставьте нужные английские слова). :) То есть "существительное + глагол с ing-овым окончанием".

Speech

If it's human speech and the person's face is visible on-screen, give their exact words in standard English, in upper and lower case, eg:

What are you doing?

I'm packing my bags.

If someone's a) speaking off-screen or b) speaking on-screen but with their face not visible to the camera, you can add eg Man: ......, Woman: ......, Girl: ......, George: ......, Anne: ...... or whatever if it's not obvious. You don't need articles, as English film/TV subtitles are written in shorthand to save space, eg:

What are you doing?

Girl: I'm looking out of the window.

Sounds

If it's a sound (not speech), either on-screen or off-screen, use capital letters, eg:

KNOCK AT DOOR

DOGS BARKING

WOMAN COUGHS [if she coughs just once]

WOMAN COUGHING [if she coughs repeatedly]

EXPLOSION

If the sound is happening off-screen and you think it's important to show that it's happening to the left or right of the screen, you can add a single chevron, eg:

KNOCK AT DOOR >

DOGS BARKING >

< WOMAN COUGHS

< WOMAN COUGHING

< EXPLOSION

Question: Will the subtitles all be using the same colour of text (usually white) for all of the characters (people), or a different colour of text for each of them -- for example, white for the main character, yellow for the 2nd character, blue for the 3rd character etc?

If it's for a US audience, use:

ROOSTER CROWS [if it does it once] or

ROOSTER CROWING [if it does it repeatedly].

If it's for a UK audience, unfortunately you have to use:

COCK CROWS [if it does it once] or

COCK CROWING [if it does it repeatedly].

I say 'unfortunately', because 'cock' is also a slang term for 'penis':
