Could 'overloads' refer to overload fuses or some other overload protection devices??? That's just a guess though, as I can't see the context. What's the standard of the English in your document like? Has it been written in/translated into English by a native-level speaker, or is it an imperfect translation into English? |

4sol: I can't actually see the word 'handing' in the document in your link, as the top and left edges of the drawing have been cut off. I'm not sure what 'handing' might mean here. The only thing I can think of, like yourself, is that it might refer in some way to eg the 'left-hand side' / 'right-hand side' of the motor. Alternatively, could it possibly relate in some way to Fleming's left-hand rule for motors (versus his right-hand rule for generators), I wonder??? This apparently relates to the magnetic field in electric motors and the direction of the current flowing through them.
