Subject: Advertisment/ advertising Добрый день!Подскажите,пожалуйста, разницу между Advertisement/ advertising Например, there is a lot of advertising for online coaching now; There are lots of Advertisements for online coaching now. ABOUT (There are lots of Advertisements ABOUT online coaching |
Advertising is the activity of creating advertisements and making sure people see them. |
online advertising/advertisement From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English: "advertisement - a picture , set of words, or a short film , which is intended to persuade people to buy a product or use a service , or that gives information about a job that is available , an event that is going to happen etc advertisement for smth" Advertising is a marketing communication that employs an openly sponsored, non-personal message to promote or sell a product, service or idea.(Википедия) |
ABOUT is perfectly fine. |

advertisement / advertising 'advertisement' (informal forms: ad (US); advert or ad (UK)) = a single notice publicising sth. Examples: * 'I applied for the job after seeing an advertisement in a shop'. * 'The magazine consists mainly of advertisements'. 'advertising' = the activity of advertising or the advertising business/industry. Examples: * 'Advertising on TV can be very expensive'. * 'My son works in advertising'. an advertisement for / an advertisement about 'advertisement(s) for (sth)' is much more common, although 'advertisement(s) about (sth)' will be understood. However, you can't use 'about' after the verb, ie you can't say 'to advertise about (sth)'. to advertise (sth) / to advertise for (s.o.) 'to advertise (sth)' just means to publicise it, ie to tell people that it's available (if it's a product or service), or that it's happening (if it's an event). Examples: * 'Fiat have started advertising their new car'. * 'This year the school is advertising its Open Day'. 'to advertise for (s.o.)' means to publicise the fact that a job is available to be filled. Examples: * 'Our company has advertised in the local newspaper for a new secretary' = has announced that a secretary's job is available at the company and is inviting people to apply for it. * 'I'm too old to do housework, so I've advertised for a house-keeper'. |
There is a lot of advertising for online coaching now - Нынче много/часто рекламируют... There are lots of advertisements for online coaching now - Сейчас есть/можно найти множество объявлений, где люди предлагают услуги... |
