В документации на программное обеспечение "Alliance Messaging Hub" от компании SWIFT, в разделах про Web-интерфейс этой системы, фигурирует понятие "inventory". Склоняюсь к тому, что это, в данном случае, синоним "entity" - сущности, входящей в объектную модель этой системы. Но до конца не уверен. Вот примеры из текста:

1. Основное описание UI заканчивается вот этим:

The lowest level represents data in the system and this can be viewed in the inventory pane to the right. - здесь level - это про "дерево" как элемент управления (например, как дерево папок в привычном Windows Explorer); щёлкаешь по листу дерева - открываешь в расположенной правее области "grid" с содержимым, зависящим от того, где щёлкнул. Видимо, эту область и называют здесь как "inventory pane".

The Inventory Pane displays the various entity lists. Select an item from the list, right-click and select the appropriate action. The actions available vary according to the security profile allocated to the user.
The inventory pane itself shows a subset of the information available for that entity.

2. Далее - примеры из самых разных глав документации:

This inventory combines the rule criteria filter with a sequence number.

Log on as administrator and go to Settings > Application Settings > Export 1.Profiles. The inventory pane shows the existing profiles.

Users are not deleted but purged from the users inventory. - глядя на это, уже сомневаешься, что "inventory" - это синоним "entity"!

For message types, if a user is not allowed to view or edit a certain message type, then the messages of this type will not appear in the inventory list

When a message reaches a state where manual intervention is required for further processing, it will be presented to the operator in the relevant inventory.

In the inventory pane select Detect Stranded Messages, then right-click and select Edit.

В общем, идеального перевода так и не придумал.
