Plug gage check of pinion bore.
1. Inspect the surface of the pinion bore for nicks and clean the surface with MEK or equivalent cleaner.
2. Wearing a goatskin glove, apply a very light even film of blue to the bore of the shaft ring gage (Figure 17).
NOTE: A heavy film of bluing will not properly indicate the fit.
NOTE: The pinion fit on the plug is measured with a depth micrometer from Nominal Pinion-Fit Position. Pinions
which do not gage within limits shown on either side of the Nominal Pinion-Fit Position must be discarded.

Спасибо paderin. НЕ нашел. Номинальное положение есть. Но что-такое Nominal Pinion-Fit Position не понял. У меня был вариант (см. выше). Не подходит?
