Не могу взять в толк, что значить by reference to someone в тексте договора на получение кредита.

Any litigation, arbitration or administrative proceeding of or before any court, arbitral body or agency for an aggregate amount (calculated by reference to the Obligors) exceeding 5,000,000 US Dollars (or its equivalent in other currencies) is current or pending against any Obligor which is reasonably likely to be adversely determined.

Any claim with respect to Taxes (calculated by reference to the Obligors) is asserted against the Obligors, which has, either individually or when aggregated with other outstanding claims with respect to Taxes, a value equal or more than 3,000,000 US Dollars (or its equivalent in other currencies).

The Loans are provided to the Borrower on condition that at any time for so long as any amount is outstanding under the Finance Documents or any Individual Total Limit is in force, in respect of Guarantor (on a consolidated basis) by reference to the Group:

В третьем случае посмотрите на цифры после двоеточия, смысл тот же: из какой-то общей суммы нужно выделять часть, относящуюся к Group, и при решении вопроса о применении данной договорной нормы ориентироваться по размеру этой падающей на Group части
