Коллеги, может кто знает, что такое cross head в машине для испытания на растяжение? (документ - стандарт по испытаниям арматуры)

TESTING EQUIPMENT
The tensile testing machine shall be of class 1 or better while the extensometer shall be of class 2 or better. The distance of cross head should be equal to at least 1.0 m. Supporting plate shall be used, if required, to adjust the angle α between the tensile element and the anchor head.
