Under проявить, under the examples, under "Bookish", проявить серьезную озабоченность is translated as "lay to heart." We would never say this in English. We could say "to take to heart," but the better translation in this case might be "to take very seriously."

I apologize. I searched the site, and I could not find an explanation of how to deal with this. I am sure that I missed something. I don't want people to have an incorrect translation.

There's nothing incorrect about this translation per se, as the expression is simply dated. It is very closely related to 'take to heart' and has largely been replaced by it. Please see this Ngram (sorry, having trouble with the href tag right now):

это же практически мем!
причем оно имеет разную окраску - от посконно-суконной, до стёбной - в зависимости от макроконтекста.
