It means that each side (separately) has a 'shopping list' of things they want from TTIP, and that TTIP provides some of the things that each side has on its own list.

Similarly, if I'm looking for a new car to buy and I've decided that I want it to have: 5 doors, a sun roof, leather seats, blue paint and satellite navigation, and I then see a car for sale which has:
     * 5 doors -- yes (=check/tick=галочка)
     * a sun roof -- yes
     * leather seats -- no
     * blue paint -- no
     * satellite navigation -- yes,
this car has 3 of the 5 things on my list of things I want it to have. So it 'checks/ticks 3 of the 5 boxes' on my list.

'boxes' here = 'checkboxes (US)/tickboxes (UK)' and 'a number of' = 'some'.
