ПМСМ, тут речь скорее не об объеме/количестве поставляемой электроэнергии, а о расписании ее подачи (в некоторых странах или отдельных регионах).
Например, индусы пишут:
"... While electrification rates were about 6% higher in ‘high overlap’ states, the average number of hours of electricity per day declined from about 18 hours to 15 hours, with a decrease of three hours..."

В общем, аскеру видней, что там у нее в контексте, но вот такая инфа к размышлению )

Вы правы, в конечном итоге поставляют и продают электроэнергию, однако мне кажется, что в схеме с применением FIT (Feed-in Tariff), о которой идет речь в данном контексте

речь идет не просто о продаже объема/количества электроэнергии, а о продаже фиксированного максимального количества т.н. часов работы на полной мощности
