В данном случае, не "have jumped" само по себе, a have jumped on the bandwagon. Устойчивое выражение. Означает "поспешно присоединиться к чему-либо" (идее, движению и т.п.) Обычно употребляется с целью подчеркнуть поверхностность и легкомысленность такого присоединения. |

It's usually said disapprovingly, especially when you think the person doing the 'jumping' has joined a group of people or expressed his/her support for sth for cynical reasons -- eg for personal gain, or to make life easy for him-/herself by not appearing to disagree with others. |
