Что такое core pin в устройстве шприца?

Nowadays, most syringes used and sold in the market are traditional disposable syringes that are composed of a cylinder, a core pin and a piston, wherein the cylinder and the piston will contact the liquid directly. The cylinder is generally formed of a chemical resistant high molecule plastic material, and would, substantially, not react with the liquid, while the piston used in combination with the mating core pin is formed of natural rubber with the rubber component being susceptible to reaction with certain components of the liquid.

Я пошукал по строчке ["core pin" syringe]- термин core pin используется в описании форм, используемых при изготовлении шприцев. Но также вроде бы используется в значении "шток" (может быть, это не совсем грамотное использование термина? не знаю).

crockodile, спасибо за подсказку, я как раз так и делал. Однако шприцы бывают разные и в моем случае речь идет о безопасном шприце. Наверное, core pin это втулочная часть. Не знаю
