| Что-то незначительное, какой-то призвук. Может, что-то начинает говорить, но потом останавливается. 'Perfect' или 'at' я там не услышал. Смысл не меняет: like the 40 the win the wilderness. |

Here's a bit more than одно слово: "In order to get, urr, a piece of bread she's actually starving, and it's a description of somebody who's destitute -- a woman who's destitute, specifically. There were some elements of 'Jane Eyre' that were thought to be blasphemous, and I think there is something a little bit like, you know, urr, the 40 days (brief laugh) in the wilderness there." 47:10: "I think: 'There but for the grace....'" = short for 'There but for the grace of God go I' = 'I'm very lucky not to be in that unfortunate situation/not to be that unfortunate person'. This sounds like a typical BBC Radio 4 programme.
