Конфликт имеет не только цвет, но и запах. Для меня - это запахи адреналина
и вражды! "Запах адреналина" не спутаешь ни с чем. !!!!!Он острый, искрящийся,
похож на запах электрической искры - сочетание озона и пластиковой
изоляции. "Запах вражды" - кислый, тупой и жестокий. В нем много природного
-звериного и неопрятного,!!!! но много и своего, того, что знакомо каждому и
того, что принимается всеми людьми как животными. Запах инстинкта
выживания.

A conflict has not only a colour, but also a smell. For me it's a smell of adrenalin, a smell of war. You cannot mix this ''adrenalin smell'' with anything else.!!!! It's an острый, sparkling smell, it smells like an electric spark – a mixture of ozone and plastic insulation. ''A smell of war'' is sour, dull and cruel. It has much natural in it, much animal (savage) and untidy, !!!but there is also much, that is known to everyone of us, the things people perceive as animals. The smell of the instinct to survive.

острый - try "hot", "spicy" - this is what it means in cooking. Also sharp (tip or edge) if it can apply to smell, of which I am not sure.

Conflict has not only a colour, but also a smell. For me, IT IS (avoid contractions in formal English) THE smell of adrenalin, THE smell of war. You cannot MISTAKE this ''adrenalin smell'' FOR anything else.!!!! It's a PUNGENT, sparkling (EFFERVESCENT/TANTALIZING?) smell, AKIN TO THE SMELL OF the electric spark – a BLEND of ozone and (FUMES OF BURNING ?) plastic insulation. ''Smell of HOSTILITY' is sour, dull and cruel. THERE IS SOMETHING VERY PRIMAL/PRIMORDIAL ABOUT IT, BEASTLY AND MESSY , BUT ALSO FAMILIAR TO EVERYONE / INTRINSIC TO OUR NATURE , SOMETHING PERCEIVED BY AN ANIMAL/ВЕAST INSIDE US ON THE INTUITIVE/SUBCONCIOUS/SUBLIMINAL LEVEL. The smell of the instinct to survive.
