Друзья, ума не приложу, как толком перевести "discrete binomial data"? Точнее, почему в оригинале они использовали именно это словосочетание и именно binomial. Данные, судя по контексту бинарные.
Вот весь абзац.

"1. A very large financial services firm receives nearly a half million system alerts per year.
2. From these alerts, nearly 300,000 reports are generated.
3. The company wishes to do a quality check to determine whether or not a report should have been written.
4. To begin, we must ask: "What sample size would give a good estimate of the proportion of instances when a report should have been written?"
5. We should then identify what type of data we have.
6. Since there are only two possible outcomes, a report should have been written or should not have, we know that this is discrete binomial data."

Будет ли это правильным перевод "дискретные бинарные данные"? Хотя смущает очень многое.
