Добрый день!
Помогите, пожалуйста, перевести данное словосочетание в следующем контексте:

Accordingly, the type of oil contamination e.g. of a soil, sand, machine or ocean slug has to be analysed with respect to a suitable tenside composition, and the effective tenside or tenside mix for a specific oil contamination is to be tailored in a series of experiments. В целом то все ясно, не могу понять только contamination of ... ocean slug
Загрязнение океанического слизняка что ли? Что-то не то...
Есть мысль, что тут опечатка и должно быть ocean slick.

The emulsifier concentrate and the working solution are particularly useful for the treatment of oil in soils or oil slugs on ocean surfaces, of accumulations of oil under water or on machines, or on other surfaces and products having been in contact with e.g. mineral oil. Furthermore, the emulsifier concentrate and the working solution are particularly useful in a pretreatment step. Respectively pretreated contaminated soils or slugs may later be subjected to additional processing steps. Such processing steps may be e.g. the exposure to specific oil-degrading bacteria or to a particular processing machine or machine system.

В мультитране, в частности, slug означает не только "слизняк", но и "партия нефти, замеренная и закачанная в трубопровод". То есть, применительно к нефти это слово используется. И это слово относится не только к ocean, но и к soil, и к sand. То есть, нефтяное пятно на почве, на песке, в океане. Только не понял, почему в этом ряду загрязняемых природных сред стоит machine. Как-то нелогично.
