Since 1997 there are volunteer fire brigades at OAO SISTEMA. Every year starting from 2004 we organize firefighters’ sports competitions among fire brigades of production departments. This definitely hot event is hold on an outdoor sports ground of our city and anyone who feels like it may come and cheer for participants. Before competitions our guys have hard trainings within two months to show their best afterwards.
Usually firefighters competitions take nearly 8 hours and this is a really breathtaking show consisting of three parts:
- Hundred meter race carried in full firefighting gear followed by unrolling of fire hose where participants show fitness and dexterity
- Relay race 4 by 100 meters with obstacles and simulated fire to show firefighting skills
- Emergency deployment – the most important part of competitions where participants show their agility and speed
By the end of the competitions there is an award ceremony to acknowledge the best teams and individuals who showed the stunning results. These tired but happy guys know that they are really firefighting elite of OAO SISTEMA.
