Доброго дня.

Пожалуйста, помогите уточнить фразу из договора фрахтования судна.
General Provisions
Owner, at its expense, shall dry-dock the Vessel, clean and paint the Vessel's bottom, and make all overhaul and other necessary repairs at reasonable intervals.
Such overhaul or repair intervals shall not be less than thirty (30) months and such dry-docking intervals shall not be less than sixty (60) months unless the Vessel's registry or Classification Society requires shorter intervals.

Vessel's registry - что-то засомневалась.. это орган или так и будет "регистрация Судна"

учитывая классификационное общество и or думал бы про "судовой регистр"

Может быть "отметка о регистрации?". Поступило судно в сухой док такого-то числа/месяца/года и от него 30 месяцев отсчитывают?

Не знаю, устанавливают ли они какие-то свои правила и требования к эксплуатации и ремонту судов думаю ..
Для перевода vessel's registry or class society написал бы "морская администрация государства флага судна или классификационное общество" ..

А что такое по-вашему "регистр судов"? Чем он занимается и каковы его функции? Российский морской регистр судоходства - это классификационное общество. Туманов, вы наверное привыкли к фразам типа "предъявить Регистру", "согласовать с Регистром" и т.п., что было характерно для советских времен, когда других классификационных обществ как бы и не было, а был один - Регистр судоходства СССР ... Он же Регистр!

во-первых, мое сообщение читается как "знакомимся с материалом по теме"
во-вторых, регистр судоходства -- это vessel's registry

Сделать вывод, что материал по ссылке, призванный показать, что это не "регистрация судна", а именно организация (например, Регистр Российский), является подтвеждением моего убеждения, что в переводимой фразе vessel's registry -- это Российский Регистр, -- очень СТРАННО.

Про морскую администрацию - да, это решает администрация, но как?
Как раз через свои рабочие "инструменты" - регистр судов
Поэтому я бы не стал менять регистр на администрацию
