Equipment and trained personnel should be readily available for rescue purposes at all times when a person is inside a confined space (POD).

Even a very strong person often finds it difficult to lift an uncons¬cious person by rope. Training and practice in rescue techniques is therefore necessary at least every second year. In addition, whenever possible, other workers should be in the vicinity so that they can be summoned to assist at a lifting. The equipment available should be as earlier described. Breathing apparatus is supplied by the ***emergency rescue resource.
