They are assembled on the top cover of the steering gear unit and controlled by the control system. There are 2 Steering Gear transmitters on each steering gear (located *at to of one* of the hydraulic motors).
The shaft of the hydraulic motors is operating the pinions, which turn the inner ring of the slewing bearing.
