Сказуемое ставится в том же числе, что и подлежащее, подлежащее здесь the base, а не the models.

спасибо большое:))) а вот мой шеф ставит его во множественное число и хоть убейся исправляет меня. Говорит, что так верно и именно этот вариант на размещение должен пойти..

И шеф спокоен, и Вы в грамматике уверены
(только бы я написала не models, а basic designs)

появление предлога In надо объяснять тем, что в русском слово "Основу" в винительном падеже, а на инглише падежей нет (на самом деле есть, но шеф таких тонкостей точно не знает)

A few words, though singular in nature, are made of paired items and generally treated as plural: scissors, trousers, glasses, pliers, tongs, and the like. Many are often used with the word pair as in pair of trousers or pair of scissors.
Titles of books and other works of art are always considered singular even if the title sounds plural: The Alfred Hitchcock film The Birds was successfully advertised with a campaign that said, "The Birds is coming!"

не знаю о чем идет речь, контекста мало, но никто даже не обмолвился, что слово Glut здесь вааааще не в тему
