the indirectly heated type. Hot flue gases from the
combustion furnace shall flow through the annular
dryer furnace around the dryer cylinder thus heating
the dryer cylinder externally. Part of the gases shall
flow into the dryer cylinder, counter – current to the
product flow and be exhausted through the purge
blower. The balance hot flue gases will flow out
through the exhaust opening on the annular furnace to
a stack (by others). The quantity of gases flowing to the
stack and through the purge blower shall be adjustable.
