In written translation, the non-availability of editorially appropriate terminological ‘equivalents’ is problematic insofar as the translators’ brief is to produce an editorially acceptable text which can be read repeatedly by many readers, and often over a long period.

затрудняюсь перевести слово "editorially". что-то мне подсказывает, что можно его выпустить, то есть "editorially appropriate" -- соответствующий, или
editorially appropriate terminological ‘equivalents’ = "контекстуальные эквиваленты терминов".

Не надо, наверное, выбрасывать "editorially" - подходящий/уместный/допустимый с редакторской точки зрения/с точки зрения (квалифицированного) редактора итп.
