The ground relay will be supplied by a zero-sequence ring type current transformer or will be integrated with the relevant circuit breaker.
Ground relays will be of time and current settable type and fit a signalling device to indicate when the relay operates as well as with reset button placed inside the enclosure in an easily accessible position. As general rule, the following signals will be exchanged with DCS/ESD for each incomer.
- Active Power (AI to DCS).
- Reactive power (AI to DCS).
- Power Factor (AI to DCS).
- Voltage (AI to DCS).
- Current (AI to DCS).
- Transformer high temperature alarm (DI to DCS).
- Transformer high temperature trip (DI to DCS).
- Process Interlock/ESD shutdown (DO from ESD).
- ATS operated (DI to DCS).
- Auxiliary fault (DI to DCS).
