Речь идет про отбор проб и анализ порошка полимера.
Sample preparation

5 drops of acetone or about 0.4g of black carbon powder for a 100 grams sample is usually used.

на мой дилетантский поверхностный взгляд,
как будто препинание пропущено или as/because/since какой-нибудь:

тогда
первая часть элементарно
а вторая - A runs the risk of B - из-за А возникает риск [получения неприятного эффекта] Б

1.У run очень много значений.
2. При взятии пробы (порошка полимера) надо быть очень осторожным, и не допускать перемещения порошка ( в емкости "bag") так как это может привести к его (порошка) разделению (сегрегации) на крупные мелкии фракции.
3. После spatula следует поставить точку. Новое предложение
начинать с Allowing. (Это всего лишь ИМХО).
