Подскажите, пожалуйста, как в данном случае перевести глагол "estimates".

Не может же "билирубин переоценивать (?!) эфиры билирубина... " =( Или может?

"переоценивать " - over estimates не переоценка, а завышение
м.б. дает завышенную оценку содержания...?

По-моему, тут под direct bilirubin понимается этот самый diazo method - прямая реакция,
