rectification column и distillation column gen.

Дорогие коллеги, правильно ли я понимаю, что rectification column и distillation column - одно и то же и могут переводиться как ректиф. колонна?
Я перевожу установку разделения воздуха.
Контексты, например, такие:

This ** air separation plant (shop code 19011) is a plant extracting oxygen from air. It applies method of deep refrigeration and cryogenic distillation and uses different boiling points of LIN and LOX to extract high-purity oxygen through secondary distillation in rectification column.

и

** ASU is an air separation unit of two-stage distillation with low pressure. Its whole working process is on basis of cryogenic principle. Oxygen is obtained by distillation after compressed air is liquefied. The required coldness of distillation column is provided by expander and isothermal throttle.

У меня в А/р словаре по химии и хим. технологии distillation column переводится как дистилляционная колонна, а rectification column - как ректификационная колонна.

Если я правильно помню, то это не одно и то же (по крайней мере, когда речь идет о переработке газа или нефти). В чем разница, к сожалению, уже не возьмусь объяснить
