Что за culture? ПО всем тексту встречается, сначала думала культивирование. Но потом в контексте было как сбор образцо на анализ. Вот напирмер, контекст:

Hospital-based system is the system where cultures are obtained only from sick patients showing-up at the hospital with some complaints.

Population-based means that every patient suspicious for pneumococcal infection or IPD is going through the obligatory blood and other biological liquids culturing despite of the fact that he/she can stay at home and not go to the hospital.

Или вот, например:

Огромное спасибо, Ldashster!!! бактериологический посев - да,да, в словаре было. А могу ли я в тексте таким образом перевести culturing как кульивирование? только не совсем смысл пойму.
