Теперь у меня небольшая загвоздка с транспортными реалиями.
я пока выбрала carry out transport/transportation, но хочется использовать PROVIDE
протяженность которых составляет 1194,8 км - the length???

Перевозку пассажиров осуществляет муниципальное казённое предприятие «ГорТранс» и восемь частных компаний.
Passenger transport is carried out (passenger transportation services are provided???) by the municipal public enterprise "GorTrans" and eight private companies.
Все перевозчики, независимо от формы собственности, осуществляли перевозку льготных категорий граждан по социальным билетам.
Irrespective of their ownership the transport companies carry out transportation of the privileged categories of citizens with social tickets.
В настоящее время в городе действует 5 троллейбусных, 3 трамвайных и 62 автобусных маршрутов (31 маршрут автобусов большого класса и 31 маршрут автобусов малого класса) внутригородского сообщения, протяженность которых составляет 1194,8 км.
Currently, there are 5 trolleybus routes, 3 tram routes and 62 bus routes in the city (31 route by big buses and 31 route by fixed-route taxis) протяженность которых составляет 1194.8 km.

у вас здорово получается избавляться от косноязычных моментов в исходнике. кстати только прочитав ваш перевод доперла, что речь идет не о билетах, а о социальных проездных.
возьму social monthly tikets
или лучше все-таки reduced fare monthly tickets?
