Subject: кредит "храм" fin. I've encountered a brief sentence, with no surrounding context, describing the money given to an unspecified firm as кредит "храм", but can't find this expression anywhere.Does храм perhaps suggest that the firm's credit rating is the best possible? Thanks in advance, Gary |
Could you furnish the whole sentence, pls? |
Говорил с ним о деньгах фирме - кредит "храм" |
More context |
вариант казнить нельзя помиловать... garyg, знаки препинания в вашей фразе предполагают возможность разных переводов. А нельзя изложить своими словами? |
Yippie: alas, the quote marks are in the original. The text before and after is unrelated (they are all brief notes) |
О чем вообще весь текст? |
Yakov, it's unrelated notes, a дневник |
Может быть банковский кредит для приобретения здания или участка под храм. Такие бывают. См. Гугл. |
А зачем помогать человеку, который роется в чужом дневнике...? Да еще и, очевидно, без ведома автора дневника...? |
If translated word-for-word, кредит "храм" means "loan "temple/church"", or "loan named "temple/church"". It makes no sense. No bank loan can be named "temple/church". Bank loans can be named "Mortgage" or "Auto Loan" (for buying a car), or "Loan for Immediate Needs". I think you cannot take a bank loan to build a temple/church. |
+ A code name, perhaps, to denote a credit line. Deciphering \ document analysis might be in order. For now, it's just another wild stab in the dark. Gary, we would like to help but it certainly requires at least a broader context/ some clues. |
может, речь о храмовниках-тамплиерах? ![]() |
Трудно сказать без контекста, однако. Возможно, внутреннее кодовое название кредитной линии. Возможно, исламское кредитование. |
кредит - харам! )) |
предполагается, что участники переписки (но никто другой) знают, о чем идет речь - например, church loan. |

hi gary, is your source text hand-written? i mean is there a chance of a double nterpretation? |
Vasya, it was originally handwritten, but has been transcribed. It's written by an Soviet-era Russian, so there's no likelihood of an Islamic or church connection |
Говорил с ним о деньгах фирме - кредит "храм" looks like "хрен" indeed. I talked to him about money to the firm - there's no f*g chance to get a credit. If you have a pic of the handwritten text - that'll be fine. |
might be хран just as well a Soviet-era Russian - raised then or living back then? |
or "хром." - хромает, not quite good |
или "кран"... |
