Whether there are likely to be any difficulties in service on potential defendants as when seeking permission to serve out of the jurisdiction, it is possible to seek directions for the method of service, i.e. service by an alternative method. Further or alternatively we may need to seek an extension of the validity of the Claim Form to allow for service of the same. In particular, it would be helpful if advice could be provided as to:

a) How service may be permitted in Russia (assuming there will be Russian Defendants);
b) Whether there are any provisions in Russian law prohibiting service by other methods;
c) The practicalities of serving by methods permitted under Russian law; and
d) The difficulties of locating potential defendants for service/likelihood of attempts to evade service.
