Перевод получился такой:
The convergent processes of approach of the Kokchetav-Northern-Tien-Shan microcontinent to the Paleotarim, which began in late Tremadocian (O1), led to the closure of the back-arc basin, overthrusting of oceanic crust to the margin of the sialic block, accretion of the island arc with the microcontinent.

Конечно имеет! Но пуристы поправляют. Это как work over (verb) vs workover (noun, adj.) - но кто это помнит и соблюдает!
