Most customers are familiar with the designation types, and WLNA is commonly used.

For example, your WLNA is a 3-cylinder water cooled Compressor with a nominal displacement rating of 254 cfm (cubic feet / minute) at 900 rpm (revolutions per minute). The letter "A" signifies that it was designed for use in Electro-Motive Locomotives.
