Добрый день,

Подскажите, пожалуйста, что есть UW radiation

контекст:
A floor covering includes a wear layer including a resin and a photoinitiator in which the composition of the wear layer is curable by radiation having the strongest wavelength in the UW range of 400 to 450 nm. The gloss of the wear layer can be controlled by controlling the amount of flatting agent in the composition applied to the surface, the amount of power applied to the surface coated with the composition or the temperature of the surface coated with the composition when the coated surface is subjected to the UW radiation.

это странно, это почти УФ, но длина волны больше, как у фиолетового))

Видимо, опечатка, UltraViolet, но 400 to 450 nm -- это уже не ультрафиолет, а видимый фиолетовый свет .

Просто гугл выдвает на эту UW radiation 2 млн. результатов, вот я и думаю, может какой особый вид излучения?

Это выдержка из переводимого патента.
Похоже что в нем используют сокращение UVV LED которое при сканировании превратилось в UW

Current UV curable coatings are designed to be cured by conventional UV lamps, such as mercury arc lamps or microwave powered, electrode-less mercury lamps, which emit the strongest wavelengths in the UVA range of 315 to 400 nm, and which also have emission in wavelength regions below 315 nm. In comparison to UV lamps, UVV LEDs emit the strongest wavelength radiation in the UVV range of 400 to 450 nm. Additionally, UVV LEDs do not generate ozone, have 75% less electrical power consumption, do not emit infrared (IR) heat on the substrate, have a much longer life (15,000+hours vs. 1,500 hours for mercury bulbs), and can be turned on and off instantly.

However, because current UV curable floor coatings are designed to cure in the UVA range of 315 to 400 nm emitted by conventional UV lamps, known UV-curable floor coatings cannot be cured with UVV radiation and thus, the advantages to be realized with UVV LEDs cannot be achieved.

It would therefore be desirable to have a radiation curable coating for substrates that can be cured with UVV LEDs in the UVV range of 400 to 450 nm.

Если заковычить "UW radiation", то ссылок будет гораздо меньше- 1650 (включая ссылки на Ваш вопрос:), причем если вы их пооткрываете- большинство будет типа U(niversity) of W(ashington) radiation specialist...
